                        What are the benefits of seeking to resolve my conflicts?

                                    -it’s the second greatest command

                                    -the Lord adds His blessing to it (Ps. 133)

                                    -God’s grace (Hebrews 12)

                                    -power (Acts 2)

                                    -authority in prayer (Matt. 18:18)

                                    -the presence of the Lord (Matt. 18:19)

                        Matthew 18

                                    I. A prideful question (vs. 1)

                                    II. A practical application (vss. 2-9)

                                    III. A parable (vss. 10-14)

                                    IV. The “Meat” (vss. 15-20)

                                    V. Another parable (vss. 21-35)

                        The path of the bitter root

                                    The root- unchecked and undealt with

                                    Unforgiveness- unwilling to let it go

                                    Resentment- keeping a record of wrongs

                                    Retaliation- the need to get even

                                    Anger, hatred, violence, death- a physical manifestation

How to practically make this a reality

            1. Walk out Micah 6:8

            2. See the worth of all men through he eyes of God (Matt. 18:14)

            3. Walk out Matt. 5:43, 44

            4. Walk out Psalm 34:14

            5. Walk out Matt. 7:1-5

            6. Walk out 1 Cor. 13:7

            7. Seek to become unoffendable (Matt. 24:10-12)

            8. Know that after we’ve done all we can do, it may still not become
